(still typing Part 5!!)
The Alphas, also known as Shamans, have really evolved over the years of AJ.
Even Liza's form has changed for greatings. May I say, for the good.
Let's stroll down memory lane. :P
And my Favorite, awesome:
Continuation of Part Three! Enjoy!!
Even as an Alpha, Peck was nervous around the foxes. She IS a bunny, you know. Of course, she's grown to like all the tigers and most of the wolves in Jamaa (even if they don't like her particularly), but the foxes never really came by as often. In fact, Peck was terrified she'd run into one at the ceremony, and was planning an escape route.. just in case. She was running that exact route over and over in her mind when she tripped on a root. What surprised her is she landed on something soft.
"Heh, that was a close one." The fox smiled, sitting Peck steady with her tail. The fox was black with grey and brown speckles on her pelt. She looked pretty kind, but Peck wasn't taking any chances.
"T-thanks," she said warily. She looked at all the other foxes, carrying boxes with their tails and opening ovens with their jaws so easily. The wonderful aroma of freshly chopped salad wafted by Peck, then the least favorite of the bunny Alpha, chicken and turkey meat, cooked to golden perfection. Even if she didn't really want to, Peck had to admit it was impressive.
"Anytime," The fox purred. "I'm Fauna. You're the bunny Alpha, right?" Fauna peered closer, making Peck extremely uneasy. She jumped back a hop.
"Peck." she confirmed.
"Oh, wow! I've heard so much about you!" the fox bubbled. "Are you really that funny? Tell me your best joke!"
"Uh........"
"Haha! That's a good one!" Fauna jumped up, startling the Alpha. "Oh, sorry, was I rambling? You're here to see the food, aren't you?" Peck raised a paw shyly.
"Um, actually-" Without warning, the fox swept Peck up in her tail to the stations.
"This is Chief. Best turkey cooker there is." The orange fox looked up and smiled. "And this is Fuzzy, she makes the veggie dishes for you bunnies." This fox was white with black ears. She beamed at Peck and set down chopped lettuce, cucumber and carrot.
"Try some," she urged, "I only use the freshiest and juicest vegtable around!" Peck hesitated, but all this being scared to death stuff was really making her hungry. She inspecting a cucumber slice- for posion- then took a nibble. It was cold and crunchy, perfectly moist!
"Mmm!" she exclaimed, munching up the food. The white fox looked pleased.
"You like it? Oh good, I'm just learning about what kind of veggies you bunnies perfer. You sure are cute!" Peck felt herself blush, ears down adorably like they do when she's embarassed.
"On behalf of the bunnies- thanks!" Peck peeped. Maybe foxes aren't so bad. The bunnies- Sparkle!! Peck looked up at Fauna. "Do you have a jar of chocolate frosting, per chance?" Fauna paused, tail twitching back and forth as she thought.
"I think so." she confirmed. Fauna padded over the the pile of ingredients, plucked up a jar and set it down at Peck's pws.
"Thank you. I have to go- it was nice meeting you!" Peck waved.
"Come back soon," Fauna called.
"Not so fast." Peck froze on the path, clinging to the jar, and looked up to see a not so happy Greely. The only thing that came out of her mouth was:
"PLEASE DON'T EAT MEEEE!"

Peck hopped as quickly as her little paws could manage down the path to the den of one of her best bunny pals. It was a sight to remember, a den full of caking supplies, ovens, batter and messy bunnies hopping all over the place.
"Frosting! Where's the frosting?! Prince, get off of the table! Something's burning!!!!!" Peck spotted her bunny friend, Sparkle, busheling from station to station. Peck waved her over.
"Hi, Sparkle. How's the cake coming?" Peck asked, glancing past her at the bunny chaos. Sparkle was licking chocolate mix from her sticky paws. Her ears tilted and she smiled.
"Good. It's a working process. I'm making it three layers of chocolate, vanilla, AND strawberry! It'll be out of the oven soon. The others are making all the dessert cookies and brownies. If only I can find the frosting..." Sparkle stopped mid-sentence to look around her. "Have you seen any?" Peck paused.
"Like that?" Peck asked, pointing to the bunny who was eating from a container.
"HEY!!!" Sparkle exclaimed, pulling the frosting away. "Duke, how many times to I have to tell you- NO EATING THE INGREDIENTS!" The bunny shrugged and hopped away. Sparkle looked gratefully at her Alpha friend. "Thanks, Peck."
"No problem."
"But now I won't have enough frosting." Sparkle sighed, staring with a upsetting look into the empty jar. Peck instantly wanted to cheer her up.
"I could get you some."
"You could?" Sparkle echoes, looking up with a smile. "Wow, Peck, you're the best. I just need one jar of chocolate frosting... I think the foxes had the rest." Peck nodded.
"Okay, I'll be back as soon as I can."

Greely didn't care what Peck was doing, why Cosmo was eating so many leaves, or why no one had shown up, but he did know this was getting on his nerves. He wasn't upset or mad or angry. He was furious.
"If they're not coming, I'll do it myself!" he snarls under his breath, everyone's home deserted. Greely knew they had to have Mira's ceremony perfect, especially after what Peck had done last year...
They had all swore never to speak of it again. As if Greely would have anyone to tell it to. Greely picked up another branch in his jaws and set it to the forest side, starting to make the clearing more spacious. He had wanted to do this in the township, or at least at the Temple of Zios, but the other Alphas had made it clear they wanted Sarepia Forest as the place. Greely didn't like to seem weak or less than the other Alphas, but there was no possible way he could set this up in one night! All the animals were setting up decorations and dishes to be served, and all the Alphas had to do was clear out the forest and make a campfire. How hard could that be?
Back when the Alphas weren't always traveling, Sarepia Forest was just the side jungle they past through to get from place to place. It was barren in branches, sticks, logs, mushrooms, moss... not the most proper place for such a dignified ceremony. And that is just what it is, Greely thought as he finished dragging a molding log out of the way, a ceremony. Not a party, like Peck calls them. This is all her fault, anyway.
Meanwhile, Peck knew just what she was doing. Getting on Greely's nerves. She was the one who had made this plan and was excited, but still she felt a nervous twist churning her tummy.
"Are you sure Greely won't be that mad?" She asks, hopping after Liza. Liza smiled kindly down at her friend, setting the bowl down.
"Of course not, he'll understand."
"And he won't eat me right? Will he eat me?" Peck asks once more, nearly bumping into Sir Gilbert. Sir Gilbert maneuvered around her, placed the log for seats in place and looked at her odd.
"For Mira's sake, stop worrying, Peck! Of course he won't eat you." Sir Gilbert paused. "...Probably."
"What he means," Liza elbows Sir Gilbert, who gives her a look, and smiles at Peck. "Is that Greely will be too happy to notice."
"Greely? Happy?" Peck echoed. She looked up at Cosmo, who was straightening the banner hanging in the branches. "Is that possible?" Cosmo shrugged. Liza looks back at Peck.
"Sure. Greely just shows his happiness differently then we do."
"How?" Peck had to ask. Sir Gilbert smiled.
"By being mad."
"I don't see how that's being happy," Peck grumbled.
"Exactly." Sir Gilbert nodded and Liza elbowed him again. "Will you stop that!?" he exclaimed. Liza sighed and looked over at Peck as calmly as she could.
"Peck, why don't you go find a cake at the market? I'm sure the bunnies are finished by now." Peck's ears shot up in excitement and she hopped happily.
"Yes, the bunnies do make the best cakes! I'll be back! Don't have too much fun without me!!"

This is my little story of Peck, Part One. I hope you enjoy as much as I did writing it :D
Peck looked over her shoulder into the tall trees as she scampered down the sandy path that twisted around the forest of Jamaa.
"Hurry up, Cosmo!" she chirped back at her Alpha friend. Cosmo peeked out from a tree, four green leaves sticking from his mouth. He swallowed them and hesitated.
"I-I don't think this is such a good idea," he murmered.
"What are you talking about? Nothing could go wrong!" Peck said confidently. "Besides, I know what I'm doing."
"That's what you said last time." Cosmo pointed out nervously. Peck blinked, her ears pointed up to hear the koala.
"We promised never to speak of that!!" she said. "And I thought this one through completely."
"That's what you said last time!" Cosmo exclaims. Peck's ears twitched.
"Come on Cosmo, you can trust me."
"That's what you said-"
"I know what I said," Peck sighed, glancing down the path impatiently. "If we don't hurry, Greely will-"
"I will what?" The two young Alphas spun in surprise, Cosmo disappearing instantly into rustling leaves. Peck glanced at where her last hope had run for it, then up at Greely innocently. Greely, the solitary wolf Alpha, peered down at her. She gulped a little.
"Oh, hello Greely! How's your day? Nice weather, huh? Did you get your fur trimmed, it looks really nice!" Greely took a step forward, eyes wary.
"Why were you speaking of me??" he growled lightly. Peck blinked.
"Oh. Oh! You thought I said Greely? No, I said..." Peck paused. "Uh... weedly! You know how Cosmo is with plants." Greely sighed.
"I don't have time for this. Just remember the ceremony tonight- and don't be late!"
"Yes sir, understood sir!" Peck proceeded to do an army salute, which irritated Greely the most, and scrambled on her way. Greely watched after her for a moment.
"Bunnies," He grumbled, rolling his eyes and padding on.

Before I get into all the Alphas, I want to be sure if it's not just me who is sort of offended by that term. Since when are they better than me- I mean us! (Just kidding guys, you're on my side). I searched up the word and this is all that it told me:
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm 99.9% sure it means the 'higher class' of something. The better version. I don't know about you guys, but I can't stand someone who bluntly tries to say they are better. It's how I roll.
So, on to the 'Alphas'.
Cosmo
Plant 1: Hey, how's the sun over there?
Plant 2: Hot. How's the sun over there?
Plant 1: Hot.
Plant 2: ...
Plant 1: Hey, how's the water over there?
And so on and so forth. PLus, if I was walking through the forst to my den, I'd end up with a non-stop twitching eye of so many voices talking, and the grass yelling "AAA! I'VE BEEN STEPPED ON! Oh, wait, I'm okay! False Alarm!!"
Anyways, apparently the plants 'bond' with Cosmo and help him out. They tell him how to mix a bunch of leaves or herbs together to make potions. They can carry him through the trees, hide him, and even create traps for phantoms! Okay, even I have to admit that part is pretty cool, even if I'm still getting over the fact that plants can talk and bond when they have no brains. And I noticed he carries that candle around on his staff. I'm still not sure what it is, a horn with a candle attached to a stick?? Sigh, some people can be so confusing. <3 br="">
Sir Gilbert
Sir Gilbert is one of my favorite Alphas. Even if he does have is own wierd side. He's a super curious one, even if he looks more like a butt-kicking fighter. I wouldn't be surpirsed when he pounced a poor animal to ask it what its like and it to terrified to answer. But, of course, he has another odd side I'm not so bonded to.
He's patient. I can't wait in line for over five minutes before getting bored. He hears every idea, every plan, and carefully, mathmatically, maturely works out a detailed plan. I'm not surprised it drives animals crazy. I'd probably be by Peck when she messes up the entire plan trying to speed it up. That sounds way too much like something I would do. But what do I know?
Peck (The Awesome)
Peck is the newest Alpha, and in my opinion, my perfect fit. She's an artist and cocky problem maker that gets into messes that the others would have to drag her out of. Sir Gilbert thinks she's too immature, but I bet he's just jealous. Her Alpha abilities made her already passionate and energetic personality even bigger and better, and some animals find her endless rain of gumdrops and happiness exhausting. They just don't understand pure awesomeness. :P
Peck’s hot temper is no secret. When phantoms come or her friends are in trouble, she flips instantly to full-throttle attack mode. She believes in striking first and planning later. Much, much, MUCH later. So if you have a tendency to get into phantom issues, you might want to become her friend.
Graham
Graham is a creepy genius. He thinks every animal tries to make everything harder, but in reality, his plans aren't so easy, either. In fact, he overthinks things and, when trying to help, makes it harder for us since we aren't as smart. Now I'm not saying we're not smart, or he's extra smart, it's only that he has a capablity we don't to make unneeded ideas to fix something working well.
Of course, he has a good thought in it, like how we could use it in the future. But if it's a one time deal, I don't think he has to worry about building something we probably won't use for another 100 years. Just saying.
Greely
Greely is sort of plain out creepy. I'd go as far to say creepy is his talent. But when you really get to see the Alpha wolf do what he does, he's not that bad.Greely spends most of his time alone and far from Jamaa, pretty much stalking Phantoms and sabotaging them from the shadows. His ability to move between shadows is one of the reasons he makes many animals nervous. His menacing appearance and grim, humorless personality probably don’t help.
Greely and Sir Gilbert didn't exactly hit it off, and despite Liza’s best efforts to bring them together, they avoid each other at really any cost. In both personality and attack plans of phantoms, they are total opposites. Where Sir Gilbert meets the threat head-on and seeks clearly made battle plans, Greely believes that the Alphas should turn the Phantoms own plans against them. (Which, in theory, is actually a pretty cool idea.)
Since Greely practically lives to follow phantoms, he's the main expert of them in the Alphas and he is definately respected. If he ever comes to Jamaa, I'd be on the look out for phantoms.
Liza (The Famous Camara Clicker)
Liza is pretty well known to the animals of Jamaa, since she welcomes everyone that comes here and helps them get started on their adventures. I take Liza as a very kind Alpha, since she too was an explorer and traveler. She seems to have this way of making animals agree to disagree and come together. It's no doubt that she helped bring peace when the animals and Alphas refused to work with the other. Monkeys wouldn't eat by the bunnies, who wouldn't, on their lives, sit by the tigers. The tigers didn't want to be by the giraffes because they talk too much and the giraffes didn't like the monkeys because they smelled like bananas ALL THE TIME! And so on, and so forth. But after Liza brought the Alphas together, the other animals decided to cooperate, too. The other Alphas have gone traveling in search for the phantom origin, or where their main 'nest' is, but Liza stayed behind to protect us from any surprise attacks and to keep welcoming new players. Truthfully, I have nothing bad to say here. ^-^
YES! I finished! Hope you guys liked it!!!
Jam on!
